Welcome Karsten! On Monday, Oct. 23, Karsten joined our class. Many of the students remembered him from last year and were very excited to welcome him back to our school! We now have 23 students in our class; 12 boys and 11 girls.
Upcoming Tests: We will have a reading test on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It will cover reading comprehension and basic reading skills. I will share the results of this test at parent-teacher conferences.
We will have our Math Unit 2 test on Thursday, Oct. 24. A study guide went home on Monday (21st). If your child practices and reviews the equations/skills on the review guide, he/she should do just fine.
Halloween Fun! We are planning to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 31. The second grades do activity rotations in the morning. After lunch we'll get into costume and get ready to parade downtown (weather permitting). When we return to the classroom, we'll have some snacks and watch a video or play a game. Thank you to all who were willing to donate something for our party!
*You are welcome to join us for the Halloween "parade". Please be at school by 12:45 unless you hear differently.
Dig Pink! The JV/Varsity Volleyball Teams would like to invite our McBain Families to our Dig Pink Volleyball Match on against Pine River. All proceeds from the game go toward our fundraising efforts for breast cancer screening at Mercy Hospital. There will also be a bake sale and Dig Pink T-Shirts for sale that evening. T-Shirts are also available in the athletic office.
